One of the obligatory beauty rituals of every woman is facial cleansing. Your skin also needs to be cleansed in the morning to create the perfect canvas for makeup, and in the evening to remove all traces of dirt and oil that have accumulated on your face from the day. Usually this skincare ritual is done with a cleanser and water. But the beauty industry is developing at a rapid pace, and a new trend is entering the world – dry cleansing face. Read on joy-pup.com how to perform this new beauty facial.
What is a dry cleansing face?
Dry cleansing or washing is a good way to deeply cleanse the skin. The ingredients in a cleanser are able to act on the skin in the form for which they are intended. This method deeply cleanses the pores and prevents dirt and sebum from accumulating in the pores.
The product you are using is 100% effective for your skin because it does not dilute with water so its ingredients do not lose their effectiveness. If, for example, your cleanser contains active ingredients such as acids or antibacterial agents (benzene peroxide), they will be less active when mixed with water.
This procedure requires a cleanser that does not foam. So choose an oil-based product or cleansing balm and don’t use water. With a cleanser, you massage dry skin, then rinse your hands with warm water and massage again, adding water in the process. Do not use this method with a scrub or any abrasive product.
Stages of dry skin cleansing
1. Choose the right cleanser
Ideal for dry cleansing with nourishing actives such as hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, ceramides and vegetable oils. Avoid foaming cleansers as they tend to contain surfactants that can irritate the skin. It is recommended to use oily and creamy cleansers.
2. Skin massage
With dry hands, apply cleanser to dry face in upward motions. The tool penetrates into the pores and dissolves everything that should not be there – dirt, sebum, sweat and bacteria. Leave the product on the skin for 1-2 minutes.
3. Massage your face with wet hands
Then wet your hands with warm water. Remember that hot water can be too dehydrating to the skin. Massage your face with wet hands, dipping them into the water from time to time.
4. Wash your face thoroughly
Using normal warm water, thoroughly rinse all product, including impurities, from face. Pat dry with a clean towel and your skin is ready for the rest of your skin care routine. Apply toner and moisturizer after cleansing the skin.
