What do you need?

Before you start doing your manicure, prepare the following materials:

  • Base coat
  • Background polish (nude, beige or pink)
  • White (or other) polish for the tips
  • A piece of cosmetic sponge (or dish sponge)
  • Top coat
  • Nail polish remover and a brush/cotton swabs for correction

Step-by-step instructions

  • Clean your nails from the old coating. File them, giving them the desired shape. Apply the base coat and let it dry completely.
  • Apply nude or translucent pink polish to your nails. Allow to dry completely before moving on to the next step.
  • Apply white (or other) polish to the edge of the sponge (the layer should be thin but thick). Using gentle dabbing motions, transfer the polish to the tip of the nail, creating a smooth gradient effect. Repeat the process if you want to make the tip brighter.
  • Remove excess polish from the skin around the nail with a brush or a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover. Allow to dry completely.
  • Seal the design with a top coat to extend the durability of the manicure and add shine.
