How to draw a clear and natural lip contour without a pencil

To make your makeup expressive, you must pay attention to your lips. It is the drawn contour that allows you to make your image perfect. But lips do not always look natural if we use a pencil. We at joy-pup tell you how to draw a clear and correct lip contour without a pencil.

You will need:

• Foundation or concealer (preferably with a dense coating).
• Lip brush – thin and flat.
• Lipstick – matte or creamy, in a suitable shade.
• Transparent powder or fixing spray.
• Napkin.

How to draw a lip contour correctly

• Before starting makeup, moisturize your lips. Use a light balm to remove flaking and create a smooth base. Before applying makeup, blot your lips with a tissue to remove excess balm.
• Apply a small amount of foundation or concealer to the area around your lips. This will even out your skin tone and hide the natural edges of your lips, allowing you to draw a more precise outline. Smooth the product with a soft sponge or finger for a natural transition.
• Choose the shade of lipstick you want. Take a small amount of lipstick on a lip brush.
• Start drawing the outline. First, outline the “tick” on the upper lip, then move to the side edges, connecting the lines. On the lower lip, draw a central line, then draw the edges. Create a line with neat, short strokes.
• After the outline is drawn, fill in the inner part of the lips with lipstick using the same brush.
• If the outline is not quite even, correct it with concealer using a thin brush. Clean or even out the edges with light movements.
• To make your lipstick last longer, lightly powder your lips with a napkin.
