Drink more water
Sometimes our body confuses hunger with thirst. Drink a glass of water 15-20 minutes before each meal – this will help reduce appetite. In addition, water speeds up metabolism, helps remove toxins and maintains overall well-being.
Eat slowly
Slowly chewing food helps the brain understand in time that the body is full. As a result, you will eat less and enjoy your food more.
Increase physical activity
You don’t have to spend hours in the gym. Incorporate simple exercises or brisk walks into your daily routine. For example, take the stairs instead of the elevator, go for a walk in the evening, or add a 20-minute walk after lunch.
Add more fiber to your diet
Fiber satiates, helps control appetite, and improves digestion. It is abundant in vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and nuts. Try replacing regular side dishes (such as white rice or pasta) with quinoa, buckwheat, or mixed vegetables.
Reduce stress
Chronic stress and lack of sleep can lead to weight gain, as the body begins to store energy. Find ways to relax: meditation, walks in nature, reading books. In addition, try to sleep at least 7-8 hours a day. Good sleep helps normalize hormones that regulate appetite.
