Actress Gena Rowlands, star of the film “The Notebook”, has died

The famous actress, star of the film “The Notebook”, Gena Rowlands has died. The news was confirmed by the actress’s son, director Nick Cassavetes.

The actress passed away on August 14, in her home in Indian Wells, California. In the last minutes of her life, her children and husband were with the movie star.

Gena Rowlands died at the age of 94. The official cause of death is currently unknown. But the actress suffered from severe Alzheimer’s disease, which disrupts brain processes, causes memory loss and progressive dementia.

In particular, on the 20th anniversary of the film “The Notebook”, the actress’s son admitted that his mother had been struggling with Alzheimer’s disease for five years.

The actress left Hollywood in 2015 and stopped acting in films. She had many awards, including an Emmy and a Golden Globe. She is survived by her three children and husband.
