Actress Kate Beckinsale’s stepfather dies

Hollywood actress Kate Beckinsale reported sad news. Her stepfather, with whom she was incredibly close, died. He was 87 years old. The man suffered from two types of cancer and suffered a stroke.

On her Instagram page, the actress published joint shots with her stepfather. She wrote:

“I don’t have words yet. Oh Roy, I’m so sorry I lost. I fought for you with everything I had.”

Last summer, Kate Beckinsale’s stepfather was diagnosed with cancer. In December, he was taken to a private hospital in Los Angeles with a massive stroke. Doctors tried to save the man, but were unable to. He will be buried in London.

Let’s remember that Kate Beckinsale was born into a family of actors Judy Lowe and Richard Beckinsale. Her dad died in 1979 at the age of 31. In 1997, the actress’s mother married Roy Battersby, who by that time had a successful career as a director.

After the health of the actress’s mother and stepfather began to deteriorate, she moved them from their home in the UK to her estate in Los Angeles. She devotes almost all her energy to caring for her family. This became a priority for her.
