Actress Shelley Duvall, star of the film “The Shining,” has died

American actress Shelley Duvall, who became famous thanks to the film “The Shining,” has died. She was 75 years old. Her partner Dan Gilroy told The Hollywood Reporter the sad news. The actress died on July 11 in her sleep in her own home.

Gilroy wrote: “My dear, sweet life partner has left us. Too much suffering lately, now she is free.”

It is known that the actress’s life was cut short by a serious illness; she suffered from diabetes. Duvall died from complications caused by the disease.

Shelley Duvall is a film and television actress. She played in such famous films as: “The Shining”, “Annie Hall”, “Popeye”. In 2002, she stopped acting in films.
