Hollywood actor Bruce Willis has been diagnosed with one of the most severe forms of dementia. So, Die Hard was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, there is no cure for it.
The actor’s ex-wife Demi Moore announced the diagnosis. On her Instagram page, the actress wrote that aphasia has become just one of the symptoms of dementia. And since the spring of 2022, when the diagnosis of aphasia was announced, his condition began to progress. Now the official diagnosis has become known: frontotemporal dementia (it is still known to PLWHA). The actress added that finally getting a clear diagnosis is a relief.
The diagnosis of Bruce Willis was also officially announced on the website of the Association of Frontotemporal Dementia. It states that there are currently no treatments, but the actor’s family is hopeful that “this may change in the coming years.” On average, people with dementia can live up to seven years after the first onset of symptoms.
