Actor, star of the film “The Expendables” Dolph Lundgren said that he had been fighting cancer for eight years.
He noted that in 2015, doctors found a tumor in his kidney. She turned out to be cancerous. The Swedish actor did a body scan every six months, then every year, and for five years everything was fine.
But, as Lundgren told In Depth With Graham Bensinger, in 2020 the disease returned. Doctors found six tumors in his kidneys and liver. The growths were too large for surgical removal, so the actor was prescribed chemotherapy.
At the beginning of his illness, doctors told Lundgren that he had only 2-3 years left to live. They urged him to take a break from work and spend more time with his family. But the actor did not want to give up and continued the fight against cancer. Thanks to the new therapy, tumors have become smaller by 20-30% in a few months, and by 90% in a year. In 2022, doctors successfully removed them.
