The famous American musician, frontman of the Raspberries and author of the hit All by Myself, Eric Carmeni, died at the age of 74. At the moment, it is not known what caused the singer’s death, but it was sudden. He died in his sleep over the weekend.
His wife Ami announced the artist’s death by posting a statement on his official website.
The artist’s wife noted that it is with great sadness that their family reports the death of Eric Carmen. He took great pleasure in knowing that the artist’s music had touched many over the decades and that this would be his legacy. Eric’s wife also asked that the family’s privacy be respected.
Let’s remember that Eric Carmen became famous in the 1970s as the frontman of the Raspberries. With its composition, he released such hits as: Let’s Pretend, I Wanna Be With You, Go All the Way. After leaving the group, he began a solo career and released songs such as: Never Gonna Fall In Love Again and Hungry Eyes. But one of his most recognizable hits is the song All by Myself, which can be heard in the film Bridget Jones’s Diary.
