Sir Elton John presented a unique collection of glasses that recalls the singer’s high-profile career and talks about his famous images. The glasses were developed in collaboration with Sam’s Club and Walmart, according to WWD.
The peculiarity of the collection is that some of the pieces are named after the most iconic moments in the singer’s career. So, there is the Rocket Man frame, which was named after the song of the same name and the autobiographical film “Rocketman”, which was released in 2019.
Absolutely all frames of glasses are decorated with the branded letter “E” on the temples, they also have metal inserts and rhinestones. The price of such glasses will range from $ 95 to $ 100.
The glasses are produced under the Elton John Eyewear brand and in total there will be 4 collections that are dedicated to certain periods of the musician’s career: The Foundations Collection, The Formative Years, The Working Musician and The Master Collection.
The Formative Years is a collection that has a classic look to the glasses the singer wore as a child. The Working Musician includes frames that symbolize the singer’s musical development when he started playing rock and roll. The Master Collection has become the most limited edition, as it includes frames that recreate the iconic images of the musician.
Incidentally, the eyewear brand and Wallmart will support the Elton John Foundation’s AIDS Initiative. Up to $ 1 million will be donated to this Fund annually from the sales of glasses.
