Hollywood actress and singer Jennifer Lopez has commented on her divorce from her husband, Ben Affleck, for the first time. The couple had been married for almost two years. But in the summer, they finally decided to get a divorce, after which the actress officially filed the papers.
As J. Lo admits, she was the one who initiated the divorce. In an interview with Interview, she noted that every person should be complete if they want something better.
“You have to be good on your own. I thought I had learned that, but I hadn’t. And then, this summer, I had to say, ‘I need to go away and be alone. I want to prove to myself that I can do this,’” the actress noted.
She shared that she had a hard time going through a divorce. Jennifer felt lonely, despaired, and sad. But she notes that she will learn to feel happy without a man by her side. She is convinced that there is no need to look for happiness in other people to fill the void.
Recall that J. Lo and Ben Affleck resumed their relationship after a 20-year break in 2021. In the summer of 2022, they got married. But soon rumors began to spread that the couple was breaking up. And it turned out to be true.
