Actress Emma Dumont, the star of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, has come out as a trans man of non-binary descent. She has also revealed her new name.
On her Instagram page, the actress updated her bio, adding “Nick Dumont” and “they/them” pronouns instead of “she/her” to her profile. However, the actress has not made any public statements.
A representative for Emma told TMZ that “they identify as a trans man of non-binary descent.” Dumont will keep her name at work, but will go by her male name in her personal life.
“Their working name will still be Emma Dumont, but with friends and family they will be known as Nick,” the rep said.
Incidentally, in May, the actress debuted a bold, short and choppy haircut, instead of her usual straight and long hair. She has swapped her glamorous style for a more casual one, and has been seen wearing T-shirts and sunglasses more often.
