‘Parasite’ star found dead

The star of the South Korean film “Parasite”, which won an Oscar, actor Lee Sung-kyun was found dead. It is known that his body was discovered on December 27 around 10:30 am in a park in central Seoul. The actor was 48 years old.

Lee Sun Gyun lay dead in his own car. Beside him, on the passenger seat, lay a coal briquette.

Before the actor was found, the police received a report that he had left a note at home that looked like a suicide note. After this, the man left the house in his own car.

This fall, South Korean police accused the actor of drug use. He had to undergo two interrogations and took two drug tests. By the way, it turned out that Lee Sun Gyun did not use prohibited substances. He himself stated that someone could have planted drugs on him for the sake of blackmail.

Lee Sun Kyun became famous after his role in director Bong Joon Ho’s film Parasite. The actor played Mr. Park, who owned the house where members of the Kim family settled. The film became the first South Korean film to win an Oscar.
