Scandalous Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, who was sentenced to 16 years for rape, was urgently hospitalized.
As ABC News reported, the producer’s representatives rushed him to the hospital from prison. There he underwent emergency heart surgery. The statement said that Weinstein was taken to Bellevue Hospital due to some medical problems. He underwent the procedure and surgery.
Weinstein’s representatives did not disclose any details. They only added that he has many health problems. Therefore, he needs constant medical supervision.
The producer was taken to the hospital the same week when he appeared in court in New York. Prosecutors were supposed to present evidence in the case of new charges against him. He is currently serving a 16-year sentence for raping an actress and model in 2013. He was also supposed to serve an additional 23 years for sexual assault, but the New York Court of Appeals overturned the sentence in April.
