Shannen Doherty believes IVF may have contributed to her illness

The famous American actress Shannen Doherty, who is battling cancer, told how she tried to get pregnant before her illness.

On her Let’s Get Clear with Shannen Doherty podcast, the star revealed that shortly before her cancer diagnosis, she was desperately trying to get pregnant. At some point, together with her husband at that time, Kurt Isvarynko, they decided to undergo artificial insemination.

But in 2015, the actress was diagnosed with breast cancer. But during her illness, she continued to repeatedly turn to artificial insemination. In her opinion, it was IVF that could affect her health.

Doherty said she believed the cancer could have been caused by IVF. She met her husband late in her life. When the time came to decide how to get pregnant, the couple decided on IVF. The star made several attempts.

The actress refused some treatment methods, although they were recommended by the doctor. After all, according to her, she heard stories when women were diagnosed with cancer after artificial insemination. In her opinion, the hormones that enter a woman’s body during artificial insemination increase the risk of cancer.

When the actress went into remission in 2017, she and her husband decided not to return to the topic of children. The actress did not want to risk her health. She also went through menopause.
