On November 26, the famous Hollywood screenwriter and director Jim Abrahams died. He died at home in Santa Monica. As the director’s son said, the 80-year-old author of popular comedies died of natural causes.
The director is known for many of his works. He worked with Jerry and David Zucker on a number of hit films. In particular, he has the disaster film “Airplane!”, the comedy “The Naked Gun” and others.
A successful film for Abrahams was the 1991 film “Hot Shots!” starring Charlie Sheen. He also co-wrote the script for the 2006 film “Scary Movie 4”.
The director and his wife Nancy were also co-founders of The Charlie Foundation, which helps treat childhood epilepsy with a ketogenic diet, as his son Charlie had a severe form of the disease.
