Google is testing a new feature in the Chrome browser. It will automatically change users’ passwords if it detects that they are suspicious.
This feature was noticed by user X Leopeva64 in a test build on the Chrome Canary channel. He found it in the new section “Artificial Intelligence Innovations”, where there is a settings menu with a tab “Automatic password change”. It says that when the browser detects that one of the passwords has been violated, it will be able to offer an alternative replacement and add it to the Google Password Manager.
Another AI-powered feature is coming to Chrome, “Automated password change,” the description mentions that “when Chrome finds one of your passwords in a data breach, it can offer to change your password for you when you sign in”:https://t.co/zmre2kssWL pic.twitter.com/lg3MsZjItc

The peculiarity of the tool is that new passwords will be created by artificial intelligence. And it is not yet known whether the technology will offer something like QWERTY. And you can activate it in the “Experimental AI features” section of the browser settings.
At the moment, Chrome also monitors hacked passwords, but it only warns users and asks them if they want to change it. To be continued…
