The sister of billionaire Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, has filed a lawsuit and claims that he sexually abused her regularly for years.
The lawsuit was filed Jan. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and alleges that when Annie Altman was three years old, her 12-year-old brother raped her for the first time. The most recent incident occurred when Sam was an adult but his sister was still a child.
Sam denies all the allegations and says that he provides his sister with monthly financial support, pays her bills and rent, and has offered to buy her a house, but she continues to demand more money.
But Annie says that her brother manipulated her and sexually abused her for several years. This also includes rape, harassment, sodomy, sexual assault, and battery. As a result, she suffered physical and mental injuries, and had to pay numerous medical bills to undergo treatment.
After this, the CEO of the ChatGPT developer published a joint statement on the X platform with his mother Connie and younger brothers Max and Jack. Together, they deny the allegations and call them false.
In Annie’s lawsuit, lawyers say that she developed mental health issues as a result of sexual abuse. They are asking for a jury trial and damages of more than $ 75,000. Sam’s family said that the girl was offered monthly financial support and medical help, but she refused it.
