Onion soup

- 4 medium bows
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced

Cooking:
- Cut the onion into thin rings.
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the onion and cook, stirring, for about 10 minutes, until the onion is golden brown.
- Add garlic and fry for 2 more minutes.
- Add chicken broth, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Add cream and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and ladle soup into portions.

- Cut the onion into thin rings.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and milk.
- In a third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, and sugar.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each onion ring in the flour, then in the egg and milk mixture, and then in the breadcrumbs to completely coat the rings.
- Drop the onion rings into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
- Serve the breaded onion rings hot with your choice of ketchup or sauce.
