Herring salads are delicious and healthy dishes that can be prepared in just a few minutes. Herring is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and proteins, making it an ideal ingredient for salads. We at joy-pup will offer you several recipes with herring that will only take you 5 minutes.
Salad with herring, cucumbers and apples
Ingredients:
- Herring fillet – 200 g
- Pickled cucumbers – 2 pcs.
- Apple – 1 pc.
- Onions – 1/2 pcs.
- Vegetable oil – 2-3 tbsp. spoons
- Greens (dill, parsley) – to taste
Preparation:
- Cut the herring, cucumbers, apple and onion into small cubes.
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add vegetable oil and mix thoroughly.
- Sprinkle with finely chopped herbs before serving.
Salad with herring, potatoes and eggs
Ingredients:
- Herring fillet – 200 g
- Potatoes – 2 pcs.
- Eggs – 3 pcs.
- Carrots – 1 pc.
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Mayonnaise – 2-3 tbsp. spoons
Preparation:
- Boil potatoes and eggs in their shells. Peel and cut them into cubes.
- Boil the carrots and also cut into cubes.
- Finely chop the onion.
- Cut the herring.
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and add mayonnaise.
- Mix thoroughly and leave for a while to infuse.
Salad with herring, apples and nuts
Ingredients:
- Herring fillet – 200 g
- Apples – 2 pcs.
- Walnuts – 1/2 cup
- Onions – 1/2 pcs.
- Mayonnaise – 2-3 tbsp. spoons
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp. spoons
- Honey – 1 tbsp. spoon
Preparation:
- Cut the herring and apples into small cubes.
- Finely chop the walnuts.
- Finely chop the onion.
- In a bowl, mix herring, apples, nuts and onions.
- To prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice and honey. Season to taste.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the salad and mix thoroughly.
