Red fish pate is a great addition to any menu. It can be eaten with toast for breakfast or used as an appetizer with side dishes. We at joy-pup tell you how to make red fish pate and offer a simple recipe.
Ingredients:
- Red fish (salmon, trout, salmon) – 300 g;
- Cream cheese – 150 g;
- Butter (soft) – 50 g;
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp.;
- Salt and pepper – to taste;
- Greens (dill or parsley) – optional;
- Baguette or crackers – for serving.
Step-by-step preparation:
- If you are using fresh red fish, boil it. Boil water, add some salt and bay leaf. Put the fillet in boiling water and cook for 5-7 minutes until done. Cool the fish and remove bones, if any.
- If you are using lightly salted fish, simply cut it into small pieces.
- Put the fish in a blender bowl. Add cream cheese, soft butter and lemon juice. Salt and pepper to taste. Beat until smooth.
- Finely chop the herbs (dill or parsley). Gently stir into the pate with a spoon.
- Put the pate in a container or a nice bowl. Put it in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes to let the snack sit.
Serve with a baguette or crackers. You can also just eat the pate as a separate dish.
