Millet pancakes with herbs
Ingredients:
- Millet – 100 g
- Milk – 100 ml
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Flour – 2 tbsp.
- Greens (parsley, dill) – 1 bunch
- Salt, pepper – to taste
- Oil for frying
Step-by-step preparation:
- Boil the millet in salted water until tender.
- Cool the porridge and mix with the egg, milk and finely chopped greens.
- Add flour, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan and spoon the dough into pancakes.
- Fry on both sides until golden brown. Serve with sour cream or sauce.
Millet cutlets with mushrooms
Ingredients:
- Millet – 150 g
- Mushrooms (champignons) – 200 g
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Breadcrumbs – 3 tbsp.
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Frying oil
Step-by-step preparation:
- Boil the millet until tender, cool.
- Chop the onion and mushrooms finely and fry with garlic until soft.
- Mix the millet with mushrooms, add the egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Stir until smooth.
- Form cutlets and fry in a frying pan until golden brown.
Millet soup with pumpkin
Ingredients:
- Millet – 80 g
- Pumpkin – 200 g
- Potatoes – 2 pcs.
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Carrot – 1 pc.
- Water or vegetable broth – 1 l
- Salt, spices to taste
Step-by-step preparation:
- Boil the millet separately until half-cooked.
- Fry the onion and carrot in a saucepan. Add the chopped pumpkin and potatoes.
- Pour the broth over the vegetables and cook until soft. Add millet and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Salt and add spices to taste. Can be served with herbs.
Millet casserole with apples
Ingredients:
- Millet – 200 g
- Apples – 3 pcs.
- Sugar – 3 tbsp.
- Egg – 2 pcs.
- Vanilla sugar – 1 tsp.
- Butter – 50 g
Step-by-step preparation:
- Boil millet until tender.
- Peel the apples, cut into slices and lightly fry in butter with sugar.
- Beat the eggs with vanilla sugar and mix with cooled millet.
- Put half of the millet in a baking dish, then a layer of apples, and the remaining millet on top.
- Bake at 180 ° C for about 25-30 minutes. Serve with honey or jam.
Millet salad with vegetables
Ingredients:
- Millet – 100 g
- Cucumbers – 2 pcs.
- Tomatoes – 2 pcs.
- Bell pepper – 1 pc.
- Red onion – 1 pc.
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp.
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp.
- Salt, pepper – to taste
Step-by-step preparation:
- Boil the millet until tender and cool.
- Cut the vegetables into cubes, the onion into thin half rings.
- Mix the vegetables with millet, season with olive oil and lemon juice.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve chilled.
