How to make lavender soap at home

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 500 g soap base
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender
  • 15-20 drops lavender essential oil
  • 1 tablespoon shea butter or coconut oil (optional)
  • Dye (optional)
  • Soap molds

  • Cut the soap base into small pieces for faster melting.
  • Melt the soap base in a water bath or in the microwave, stirring occasionally. Be careful not to overheat the base.
  • Once the soap base is completely melted, add dried lavender, lavender essential oil and shea butter or coconut oil. Mix well.
  • If you want to add color to the soap, add a few drops of dye and stir until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared soap molds. Tap the pans on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
  • Allow the soap to cool completely and harden. This may take from several hours to a day.
  • Carefully remove the finished soap from the molds. If the soap is difficult to remove, place the molds in the freezer for a few minutes.
