Every year on the first Monday in May, the red carpet rolls out for one of the most talked about events of the year. The Met Gala is known for its impressive turnout and captivating creations, with celebrities rocking their most unforgettable looks year after year. This year the gala concert was dedicated to the exhibition “Sleeping Beauties: Revival of Fashion” with the theme “Garden of Time” and, according to tradition, the dress code of the stars supported the theme of the exhibition. 1. Gigi Hadid
Gigi Hadid knows how to approach a topic like no one else. For 2024, she opted for a dramatic design by Thom Browne: a white off-the-shoulder corset dress with high hips underneath a white silk moire hem. The lower part of the dress was trimmed with black satin details and decorated with yellow roses. It took a team of 70 people and more than 13,500 hours of work to create the image.
2. Greta Lee
Actress Greta Lee showed off a bold floral Chantilly lace dress from Loewe. Lee donned a completely sheer lace dress with a sculptural top and adorned with voluminous flowers.
3. Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez shone in a spectacular transparent dress from the fashion house Schiaparelli, decorated with countless stones. Her beauty look was balanced as she opted for neutral makeup and wore her hair in a messy bun.
4. Ashley Graham
As one of the presenters for the 2024 Met Gala livestream, Ashley Graham took to the stage in a black crystal-embellished dress by Ludovic de Saint Sernin. The sexy leather lace-up corset contrasted boldly with the crystals and flowers on her hips. Each Swarovski crystal was attached by hand, taking over 500 hours.
5. Zendaya
While most celebrities get the opportunity to show off their most worthy side once a night, Zendaya walks the steps of the Met twice. The first dress was in shades of green and blue, which the actress later changed to a black voluminous outfit from Maison Margiela. She completed her look with Bulgari accessories and a hat with a large bouquet of artificial roses.
6. Naomi Campbell
Naomi Campbell wore a beautiful mint Burberry dress to the 2024 Met Gala. The V-neck dress with spaghetti straps was completely embellished with fringe and sequins, which paired perfectly with her green eyeshadow.
7. Tyla
For her Met Gala 2024 debut, singer Tyla wore a stunning Balmain sand dress. It fit her silhouette perfectly, as if creating a sculpture in which it was impossible to move. The design is made from three shades of sand and features mini crystals that sparkle with every movement. To complete the look, the singer used an hourglass clutch.
8. Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner became the first to wear a piece from Alexander McQueen’s 1999 couture collection for Givenchy. This collection was never shown on the catwalk.
9. Emily Ratajkowski
Emily Ratajkowski is known for her bold looks, and a nude dress is a staple in her wardrobe. The model chose a revealing Versace dress with an open back and a train.
10. Elle Fanning
Elle Fanning once again brought her Sleeping Beauty role to life, radiating ethereal energy in an organza bustier dress. The Balmain-designed outfit was apparently held in place by two fluttering birds.
