Tilapia with avocado and mango salsa
Ingredients:
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 1 large mango, diced
- 1 avocado, diced
- half a red onion, finely chopped
- 1 large tomato, diced
- Juice of 1 lime
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Step-by-step preparation:
- Combine chopped mango, avocado, onion and tomato in a large bowl. Pour in lime juice and stir gently.
- Salt and pepper the tilapia fillets on both sides.
- Heat a frying pan with olive oil. Fry the tilapia fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- Serve the tilapia fillet with the salsa next to it. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
Tilapia with coconut sauce
Ingredients:
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 tablespoons red curry paste
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 red chili pepper, chopped
- Basil leaves for garnish
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Step-by-step preparation:
- In a saucepan, combine coconut milk, curry paste, fish sauce, sugar and red pepper. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Salt the tilapia fillet and fry in vegetable oil in another frying pan until golden brown on both sides.
- Add the fried tilapia fillets to the simmering coconut sauce and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the fish is tender and soaked in the sauce.
- Serve the tilapia with the coconut sauce and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Baked Tilapia with Lemon Garlic Sauce
Ingredients:
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Fresh thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Step-by-step preparation:
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice and zest, minced garlic, honey, thyme, salt and pepper.
- Spread the mixture evenly over the tilapia fillets.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until done.
- Serve the dish hot, topped with lemon-garlic sauce.
