French fries with cheese and bacon
Ingredients:
- 4 medium sized potatoes
- 200g grated cheese (preferably cheddar)
- 100g bacon, fried and chopped
- Salt, pepper, mixture of dried herbs
Preparation:
- Cut the potatoes into thin strips, salt and pepper.
- Fry the potatoes in vegetable oil until golden brown.
- Place the fried potatoes on a baking sheet and sprinkle with cheese and bacon.
- Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven (200°C) and bake until the cheese has melted and turned golden.
- Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve hot.
Lentil puree
Ingredients:
- 1 cup lentils
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 potatoes, chopped
- 2 tbsp. spoons of olive oil
- Salt, pepper, turmeric
Preparation:
- Boil lentils, onions, garlic and potatoes in salted water until tender.
- Strain the water and grind the ingredients with a blender.
- Add olive oil, spices and stir until smooth.
- Serve the puree hot, sprinkled with fresh herbs.
Vietnamese pumpkin and chicken soup
Ingredients:
- 400 g chicken fillet, chopped
- 300 g pumpkin, diced
- 1 liter chicken broth
- 200 g rice noodles
- 1 tbsp. spoon of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Fresh green onions, basil, cilantro for serving
Preparation:
- Fry the chicken until golden brown.
- Add pumpkin, broth, soy sauce and ginger. Cook until the pumpkin is soft.
- In a separate pan, cook the noodles.
- Serve the soup by placing the noodles in a bowl and pouring in the hot chicken and pumpkin broth. Garnish with green onions, basil and cilantro.
Buckwheat noodles with mushrooms
Ingredients:
- 200 g buckwheat noodles
- 300 g champignons, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp. spoons of soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. spoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Salt, pepper, green onions for serving
Preparation:
- Cook buckwheat noodles according to package instructions.
- Fry onions and mushrooms in olive oil until golden brown.
- Add soy sauce and honey, stir.
- Mix buckwheat noodles with mushrooms.
- Serve the dish sprinkled with green onions.
Hake with carrots and onions
Ingredients:
- 4 hake fillets
- 3 carrots, cut into slices
- 1 onion, cut into half rings
- Juice of half a lemon
- Parsley leaves for serving
- Salt, pepper, olive oil
Preparation:
- Fry the hake fillet in olive oil until golden brown.
- Add carrots and onions, fry until vegetables are soft.
- Pour over lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, sprinkled with fresh parsley.
