Classic granola with honey and nuts

  • 3 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup walnuts (or other nuts of your choice), chopped
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried fruits

Step-by-step preparation:

  • In a preheated oven at 180 degrees, fry the oatmeal and chopped nuts for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • In a bowl, mix honey, vegetable oil, vanilla extract and salt. Add the toasted oatmeal and nuts, stirring thoroughly.
  • Spread the mixture evenly on the baking tray, level and place in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Stir the granola occasionally during cooking to avoid burning.
  • After baking, add dried fruit (e.g. raisins, dried apricots) and let the granola cool completely before using.

Granola with berries and almonds

  • Remove from oven, let cool and add fresh berries before serving.

Granola with pumpkin seeds
