The American actor, who is famous for comedy and drama films, has announced his retirement. He told Access Hollywood reporters about this and said that he wants to retire and lead a quiet life.
The Hollywood actor noted that he could continue his career. But he really likes his measured and calm life. He loves his spiritual life, painting on canvas. Jim Carrey also admitted that he feels that he has had enough filming a movie.
But, it is quite possible that we will still see Jim Carrey in the movies. Indeed, during a conversation with reporters, he added that he may well agree to the role. But only if he gets a really good offer to shoot in an outstanding project.
“If suddenly the angels bring some kind of script written in gold ink, and I suddenly realize that it will be very important for people to see it, then maybe I will return,” the actor said.
Recall that Jim Carrey starred in various comedy films, including The Mask, Ace Ventura, The Truman Show. He is also known for his roles in dramas. For example, together with Kate Winslet, he worked on the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. And on April 8, the last film with his participation, Dream Interpretation in Cinema 2, should be released.
