Homemade sausages can be a great addition to your everyday menu. These dishes are highly nutritious and rich in flavor. Moreover, they can be prepared not only from meat, but even vegetables. We at joy-pup offer 5 recipes for delicious homemade sausages.
Classic pork sausages
Ingredients:
- 500 g pork meat (thighs or shoulders)
- 100 g lard
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp cumin
- Sausage casings
Step-by-step preparation:
- Pass the meat and lard through a meat grinder.
- Add spices and mix thoroughly.
- Fill the shells with mixture and secure the ends.
- Fry the sausages in a frying pan until golden brown (about 10 minutes on each side) or bake in the oven.
Chicken sausages without casing
Ingredients:
- 400 g chicken fillet
- 100 g bacon
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp salt
- Greens to taste
Step-by-step preparation:
- Pass the fillet and bacon through a meat grinder.
- Add egg, salt, herbs, bread crumbs and mix.
- Form small sausages and fry in a frying pan.
Italian sausages with paprika
Ingredients:
- 500 g pork
- 1 tsp red pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Sahara
- 2 tsp salt
- Sausage casings
Step-by-step preparation:
- Grind the meat and add spices.
- Fill the shells and let sit in the refrigerator, about 2-3 hours.
- Bake in the oven at 180°C for 30 minutes (until golden brown).
Vegetable sausages with chickpeas
- 1 can of chickpeas (400 g)
- 1 potato
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- Greens (parsley, dill)
Step-by-step preparation:
- Drain the chickpeas from the jar into a colander and rinse under cold water. Peel and chop the potatoes, carrots, onions and garlic.
- In a large saucepan, boil the chopped potatoes and carrots until soft. Add chickpeas and cook for another 5-7 minutes. Then drain the water and let cool.
- Fry the onion and garlic in a frying pan until golden brown. Add to potatoes and chickpeas.
- Place all the vegetables and chickpeas in a bowl. Using a blender, grind the mixture until smooth. Add herbs and stir.
- Form the resulting mass into sausages. This can be done by hand, dusting your hands with flour for convenience.
- In a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil, fry the sausages on both sides until golden brown or bake in the oven at 180°C until golden brown (about 20-25 minutes).
Sausages with meat and mushrooms
- 500 g minced beef
- 200 g mushrooms (champignons are best)
- 1 onion
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- Greens (dill, parsley)
Step-by-step preparation:
- Peel the onion and chop it finely. Clean the mushrooms, remove the ends of the stems and chop them finely too. Finely chop the greens.
- In a preheated frying pan, fry the onion until golden brown. Then add the chopped mushrooms and cook until all the liquid has evaporated.
- In a deep bowl, mix ground beef, fried onions and mushrooms, eggs, salt, black pepper and finely chopped herbs. Mix well so that all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Place a towel or film on the surface and place the resulting minced meat in the shape of a sausage. Wrap and secure the ends tightly.
- Prepare a pan of water and bring to a boil. Place the sausage in the water, reduce the heat to low and cook the sausage at a low simmer for 40-50 minutes.
- If you want to give the sausage a golden crust, after cooking, fry it in a frying pan with vegetable oil until golden brown. Remove the film first.
