Ingredients
- Spinach (fresh or frozen) – 300 g
- Eggs – 3 pcs.
- Cottage cheese (5-9% fat) – 200 g
- Hard cheese – 100 g
- Cream (10-20% fat) – 100 ml
- Flour or semolina – 2 tbsp.
- Garlic – 1–2 cloves
- Salt and pepper – to taste
- Nutmeg (optional) – a pinch
- Vegetable oil or butter for greasing the pan

Step-by-step preparation
- If you are using fresh spinach, wash and dry it. Remove tough stems if necessary. Defrost frozen spinach and squeeze out excess moisture well.
- In a preheated frying pan with a little oil, fry the spinach until soft (2–3 minutes). Add finely chopped garlic, a little salt and pepper.
- In a deep bowl, mix eggs, cottage cheese and cream until smooth. Add grated cheese (leave some for sprinkling), flour or semolina, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
- Combine the fried spinach with the egg-cottage cheese mixture and mix thoroughly.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish with butter and lightly sprinkle with flour or semolina to prevent the casserole from sticking.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top. Bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the casserole is golden brown.
- Let the casserole cool slightly so that it holds its shape better. Cut into portions and serve warm.
