Cherry pie
This delicacy will diversify your everyday table. You will like it with a very soft and delicate taste.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups pitted cherries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for decoration (optional)
Step by step preparation:
- In a preheated oven at 180 degrees, prepare a baking dish by brushing it with oil or lining it with baking paper.
- In a large bowl, mix sugar, flour, milk, eggs, softened butter and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Roll out the dough and place it in a baking dish.
- Spread the cherries evenly over the dough.
- Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
- After cooling, sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar before serving.
Salad with cherries and arugula
This simple and light salad is perfect for fish or meat. It can also be prepared for the holiday menu.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups pitted cherries, cut in half
- 4 cups fresh arugula
- 1/2 cup goat cheese, crumble
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Step by step preparation:
- In a large bowl, combine arugula, cherries, goat cheese, and walnuts.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper until smooth.
- Pour dressing over salad before serving and toss gently.
Cherry sauce for meat
You can make a delicious sauce for meat dishes from cherries. It will be moderately sweet and with a very pleasant aroma.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups pitted cherries
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoons red wine
- 1 teaspoon starch
Step by step preparation:
- Combine cherries, water, sugar and red wine in a saucepan.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cherries soften and the mixture thickens.
- In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in a little water and add to the saucepan with the cherries to thicken the sauce.
- Continue to cook the sauce, stirring, for another 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve with meats such as pork or chicken.
