Couscous is considered a very healthy porridge that can be included in the daily menu. But in order to complement its taste or express it, it is worth trying to supplement the dish with interesting ingredients. An excellent option would be couscous with Parmesan, which will delight you with a delicate, original taste. We at joy-pup offer a simple recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup couscous
- One and a half cups of boiling water
- Half a glass of grated Parmesan
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Step-by-step recipe for couscous with parmesan
- Pour the couscous into the pan and pour boiling water over it. Cover it with a lid and leave for 5-7 minutes to allow the couscous to swell. After this, use a fork to break the couscous into individual grains.
- Once the couscous has swelled, add the grated Parmesan. Stir until the cheese is evenly distributed throughout the couscous.
- Add olive oil and finely chopped basil to the dish. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are combined.
- Transfer couscous with parmesan to a serving plate. If desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves and additional Parmesan cheese.
