Miso soup is a rather interesting and unusual dish. It combines sweet and rich flavors, so no one will remain indifferent to this dish. We at joy-pup offer a simple recipe for making miso soup with daikon.
Ingredients:
- 4 teaspoons miso paste
- 4 glasses of water
- 1 large daikon
- 2 large green onions
- 100 g hard tofu cheese
- 1 sheet of nori seaweed
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Chili peppers, chopped (for added flavor)

Step-by-step preparation of miso soup with daikon
- Peel the daikon and cut it into thin slices. Cut the tofu into cubes and the green onions into thin slices. Cut the nori sheet into small pieces.
- In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add the daikon and cook over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes until the daikon is soft.
- In a separate bowl, stir the miso paste with a little hot water to form a smooth paste. Add the miso paste to the saucepan with the daikon and stir gently.
- Add tofu cubes, onion, soy sauce and sesame oil to taste. Add salt and season to taste.
- Continue to simmer the soup over medium heat for about 5 minutes more to warm through all the ingredients and let the flavors meld.
- Pour the soup into deep bowls and top with pieces of nori and sesame seeds.
