The streaming service Prime Video has released the trailer for the final episode of the dark comedy fantasy series “Good Omens.”
Based on the novel of the same name by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, the series follows the demon Crowley and the angel Aziraphale. These two have become so accustomed to life on Earth and come to love it that they decide to unite to prevent the coming of the Antichrist and the final battle between Heaven and Hell, which could destroy humanity.
The series stars David Tennant, known for his work on Doctor Who, Broadchurch, and Jessica Jones, as well as Michael Sheen, known for his work in the Underworld franchise, Frost/Nixon, and the drama Nocturnal Animals.
The final episode of “Good Omens” will air on May 13, 2026.
The first season of the series premiered in 2019 and received generally positive reviews from critics and viewers. However, a sequel was delayed: official confirmation for a second season followed two years later, with its release scheduled for summer 2023.
Later, in December 2023, it was announced that the show had been renewed for a third season. However, production was suspended in September 2024 amid allegations of sexual assault against Neil Gaiman. As a result, he left the project, and the studio decided to scrap a full third season, replacing it with a standalone 90-minute final episode that will conclude the story.
