  • Fresh cherry tomatoes, but you can choose others – 0.5 kg.
  • Mozzarella – 1-2 balls
  • Fresh basil – 1 bunch
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp. spoons
  • Balsamic vinegar – 1 tbsp. spoon
  • Salt – to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper – to taste

Step-by-step preparation of caprese:

  • First prepare the ingredients. Cut the tomatoes and mozzarella into large circles. Wash and dry the basil leaves, removing them from the stems.
  • On a large flat platter or plate, place pieces of tomato and mozzarella alternately in a circle.
  • Add basil leaves between the layers of tomatoes and mozzarella so that they fully infuse all the ingredients with their aroma.
  • After you add the tomatoes, mozzarella and basil, drizzle the dish with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  • If you want a more savory flavor, add a little balsamic vinegar to the caprese.

Serve this delicious dish immediately after cooking to preserve the freshness and flavor of the ingredients.
