Ingredients:
- flour – 220 g
- sugar – 70 g
- milk – 120 ml
- pressed yeast – 10 g
- eggs – 1 pc.
- butter – 20 g
- cocoa powder – 30 g
- olive oil – 20 ml
- vanilla sugar – 1 sachet
- salt – a pinch
- raisins, nuts, candied fruits (optional)
Step-by-step cooking process
1. Preparing the dough. Heat the milk until warm (about 35-37 degrees). Dissolve yeast in milk, add 1 tbsp. l. sugar and 1 tbsp. l. flour, stir and leave in a warm place for 40 minutes to activate the yeast.
2. In a large bowl, beat the egg with sugar with a mixer until white foam, add melted butter, olive oil and dough. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until smooth.
3. In a separate container, mix flour, salt, vanilla sugar, cocoa powder.
4. Combine dry and liquid ingredients. Knead the dough by hand or with a mixer fitted with a dough hook for 15 minutes.
5. Place the resulting mass in a deep container, pre-lubricated with vegetable oil. Cover the dough with a towel and leave in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours until it doubles in size.
6. Then you can add dried fruits, which must first be filled with boiling water and dried on a paper towel.
7. Transfer the risen dough into the mold, filling it 2/3 full. Let the dough rise again in the pan for 30-40 minutes.
8. Preheat the oven to 170°C, bake the cake for about 40-50 minutes. Check doneness with a wooden skewer – it should come out dry.
9. If desired, the finished cake can be coated with chocolate glaze or sprinkled with powdered sugar after cooling. You can also decorate with nuts or candied fruits.
10. After cooling, the chocolate cake is ready to serve. Enjoy its rich taste and aroma!
